Marco Bicego’s official start began in 2000 when he took over his father’s 50-year-old jewelry studio. Marco Bicego’s jewelry showcases Italy’s centuries-old goldsmithing techniques. His collections are only offered in fine 18k gold and his fine goldwork guides his collections. Marco Bicego’s “MADAGASCAR” and “IL CAIRO” Collections features layer upon layer of hand-woven gold-coiled strands. Each round strand is hand-coiled thousands of times by a fine gold thread, wrapped around its solid gold-core center. His exotic “GOA” and “MARRAKECH” Collections features artisan-twisted hand-coiled wrapped gold ribbons, flawlessly studded with diamonds. This ancient metalsmithing technique provides strength and achieves a substantial “feel,” far unlike anything machine-made.

Marco Bicego’s signature is his free flowing, “layered look”; multiple gold strands intermixed by continuous handmade gold beads and colored gems. From bracelets to necklaces, from one strand to ten; each gold strand is adorned with colored gemstones, natural fresh water pearls and hand-etched gold beads.

Marco Bicego’s “JAIPUR” Collection features hand-cut semi-precious stones; each hand-facetted in Jaipur, India, in what is called a “Prism-Cut.” Jaipur’s unique hand-cutting techniques are world renown. Marco Bicego commissioned his wide variety of raw semi-precious stones to be cut to his specifications exclusively in Jaipur by only their finest stonecutters. Marco Bicego only uses natural stones in his jewelry, these include; Lemon citrine, rose and green tourmaline, purple amethyst, green amethyst, yellow quartz, champagne quartz and blue topaz. Marco Bicego’s Jaipur prism-cut stones have an exciting and mysterious sparkle about them, however they do not overpower or outshine the beauty of his other fine elements. Marco Bicego’s vision requires that each revolves and shares equally; the elements must interchange harmoniously, one blending into the other naturally.
